Also known as Iroquois Raised Beadwork, Haudenosaunee Raised Beadwork is unique to the Six Nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, characterized by lines of beads that arch above the textile surface for a three-dimensional effect, typically sewn onto velvet.
Classes will be beginner classes, learning the basic stitches and then practicing on fabric, and the graduating to beading a design into a pin, earrings, or bag design.
Jacket Sewing Classes are made using with wool and leather. Pendleton Wool is an option to use for your jacket.
Each design is created by the student. Introduction to sewing machines is given at the start of the class.
